The relationship begins
An ActivTrades email confirms receipt of my application for a trading account. I use this as the documented start of my customer relationship—not as proof of the precise activation time.
This is my documented experience of a rapid leverage change that nearly forced a margin close-out, an access issue that took repeated attempts and days of unanswered emails to resolve, and €23,241 in deposit-related fees—either 17.88% of the €130,000 I deposited during this trading period, or a fee applied retrospectively across my entire account history.
READ THEIf fees can be calculated later across a customer’s full deposit history, then the longer someone trades with ActivTrades, the more potential fees may later be deducted. That is my conclusion from this experience.
THE LONGER YOU TRADE WITH ACTIVTRADES, THE MORE POTENTIAL FEES THEY MAY LATER DEDUCT. MY PERSONAL CONCLUSION: BETTER TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. This is my personal opinion and warning, not financial or legal advice.I had been an ActivTrades customer since my 2017 account application. On 9 August 2024, I returned to trading, initially deposited €20,000, and opened a 10-lot long position in LCrude. My total deposits during this trading period came to €130,000.
Shortly afterward, my leverage was reduced from 1:200 to 1:75. The change greatly increased the margin required for my open position. In my experience, the rapid change nearly forced a margin close-out and put me under acute pressure to deposit more money.
A later technical/account-access problem was eventually resolved, but only after repeated support attempts; I say emails went unanswered for days. After that experience, I closed my positions and requested a withdrawal. ActivTrades then deducted €23,241 in fees described to me as Neteller or deposit-related charges.
€23,241 FROM €130,000 IN DEPOSITS IS 17.88%
An ActivTrades email confirms receipt of my application for a trading account. I use this as the documented start of my customer relationship—not as proof of the precise activation time.
I initially deposited €20,000 and opened a 10-lot long position in LCrude. Across this period of trading, my deposits totalled €130,000. My account showed leverage of 1:200 when I began trading.
My records show that leverage was reduced from 1:200 to 1:75 shortly after the position was opened. This sharply increased the margin requirement. In my experience, the timing left me feeling forced to add further funds to avoid a margin close-out.
The issue was eventually resolved, but only after multiple support attempts. I say emails went unanswered for days.
ActivTrades deducted €23,241 in fees described to me as Neteller or deposit-related charges. That is 17.88% of the €130,000 I deposited during this period.
I say ActivTrades later explained that the calculation covered deposits across years of account history—not only my recent deposits. I consider either an effective 17.88% charge or a retrospective charge across my entire account history unacceptable.

NETELLER FEE DEDUCTION
8 August 2017 · ActivTrades info@activtrades.com · “Kontoanmeldung bei ActivTrades”.
€20,000 initial deposit · €130,000 total deposits · 10 lots LCrude long · leverage shown changing from 1:200 to 1:75.
The issue was eventually resolved after repeated attempts; the account holder says emails went unanswered for days.
I am publishing a first-person account of charges I dispute, supported by records I retain. In my opinion, either an effective charge of 17.88% or a retrospective calculation across my entire account history is unethical, unfair, and unacceptable.
